On their off day, the teams participated in the "Teaming up for Character" event, a heartwarming initiative designed to foster a strong connection between athletes and their host community. By partnering with WEAR's Communities Caring at Christmas Program, the players took on the noble task of packaging essential items for families in need. With their effort focused on creating 10,000 bags of underwear and hygiene products, the athletes were reminded of the impact their small actions can have on the lives of others.

Adam Cooper, the event manager for Pensacola Sports, emphasized the importance of this initiative, stating, "This gives them a good sense of community and inspires them to get involved, which is crucial both in sports and life." Mia Veale from Oklahoma Wesleyan Eagles shared her thoughts on the experience, acknowledging that sometimes, the work comes with a lack of glamour.
